JAMMU, Jan 23: Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFFA) today remember Netaji Subash Chander Bose on his Birth Anniversary and also organized an impressive function at Municipal Park Town Hall, Jammu. According to press release, Association president Ved Gandotra was presided over by the Chairman B.L. Gupta. JMC Commissioner Kiran Wattal was the chief guest and Kapil Sharma was guest of honour on the occasion. The programme started with hoisting of National Flag followed by chanting of National Anthem. The Tricolour was hoisted by the Chief Guest and all present on the occasion garlanded the statue of Netaji among shouting of slogans "Netaji Amar Rahe", "Azad Hindustan Zindabad" "Bharat Ke Shaheed Amar Rahe". Speaking on the occasion, Ved Gandotra said that it was regrettable that the people have forgotten the sacrifices of the Martyrs. The path of dedication, love for nation and sacrifice is still relevant today, but all have lost in the lust of power and money. They said and added that it is due to the sacrifices of the Martyrs that we are living in free India. They further exhorted the youth to follow the path shown by the Martyrs and stand against the social evils like dowry system, corruption, terrorism and work for high moral values of truth, neat and clean society. They also asked every citizen of India to respect women folk and fight against female foeticide and help in growing of females with dignity in the society. Rajiv Mahajan, Pritam Sharma, Gajan Singh Akali, Tej Ram Dogra, Rohit Bali, Avinash Bhatia, S. Gajan Singh, Parbat Kapahi and Mohinder Singh were also present on the occasion. |
