AVM to launch campaign against caste based reservation | | | Jammu, Jan 23: Aarakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM) to launch a movement for creating awareness among people highlighting evil of caste-based reservation. According to press release, the meeting of AVM was held under the chairmanship of Som Nath Sharma and discussed in detail the problems being faced by the General Category people as reservation is severely affecting the future of General Category people. President of the Manch informed the members participating the meeting that a strong resentment was shown by organizing a one day-dharna at Jantar-Mantar, New Delhi in which various organization participated from different states, under the leadership of U.S Rana President Anti-Reservation Movement (ARM), New Delhi. Yash Paul Sanson General Secretary of the Manch, said that Reservation in promotion which has been held unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of India the petition of M. Nagraj v/s Union of India. He said that time has came to abolish reservation and special measures be adopted by the Government for the welfare of the poor of all caste. Sat Pal Sharma incharge State Aarakshan Virodhi Party informed the meeting that a protest shall be organized by Aarakshan Virodhi Party at New Delhi in the month of 1st of March, 2015 at Jantar-Mantar New Delhi. The strategy was framed to launch a signature compaign against reservation. |
