'Beti Padhao Beti Bachao' program concludes at CCE 3/13/2015 11:52:01 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 13: Chenab College of Education (CCE) today concluded "Beti Padhao Beti Bachao" programme which were started on International Women Day at college premises. According to press release, to create the awareness among the women about their rights in the society, the college was organized different. A Rally was also taken out by NSS Volunteers in the nearby village of langar in which they connected the Women talk and enlightened them about their role in the society and also about their rights. A Guest Lecture was also organized on "Obesity and life style disorders" in which Dr. Rekha Harish Dang. Prof. and HOD of Pediatrics, GMC spokes side effect of the use of cold drink she further advise to have exercises and take healthy food. An Inter college competition on Salad making and flower arrangement was also organized in college premises in which various Government as well as Private Colleges participated. Dr. Aruna Dubey, HOD, Home Science, GCW, Parade and Associate Prof. Nidh Kotwal Director Women Study Centre CCW Parade attended the functions as judges. Both of them emphasized the importance of becoming self-sufficient in maintenance of Home Affairs while attending to their academic work.
