Is Lal Singh a Congress man tasked to damage ruling Coalition? 3/14/2015 1:05:21 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 13: BJP has been left red faced by the repeated showdowns of foul mouthed Health Minister Lal Singh with doctors in Jammu and Srinagar and many amongst the party unit are apprehending him to be a Congress man which has been planted to discredit the ruling alliance. A senior party leader, who is close to the leadership in the centre, said that despite opposition from BJP workers the party had given the mandate to Lal Singh on the promise that he would not indulge in any misconduct; Later senior BJP leaders had opposed his induction in the cabinet but the party leadership in the centre cleared his name as he had started threatening the party leaders in the state. Lal Singh, who had been aspiring to become Dy CM somehow managed to get the portfolio of his choice; but soon after assuming office he took to his old ways and entered into verbal brawls with doctors in both the regions of the state, embarrassing BJP at a time when Coalition was already facing turbulent waters. The party leaders have conveyed their displeasure to the BJP high command for having given a long rope to Lal Singh. They want the party high command either to bridle Lal Singh or force him to quit the cabinet. The party leaders in Jammu are worried over the bad temper of Lal Singh. They wanted the BJP high command to tell Lal Singh in unequivocal terms to give up his habit of bullying officials. Reports said that during the last 10 days the Health Minister has insulted a number of doctors,paramedics and other officials in the Health Ministry. According to these reports, whatever good work was being done by the ruling coalition Lal Singh was simply spoiling the entire process of good governance for which the stage has been set. Reports indicate that Lal Singh's colleagues in the Congress have maintained discreet silence over Lal Singh's misadventures obviously in a bid to encourage him to cause bigger damage to the BJP.
