kishtwar, Mar 13 : Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kishtwar, today chaired a high-level meeting of its officials to review the department related development works and also ordered for verification of the job cards within one week.
As per the details available with Early Times, ACD, Kishtwar, Akther Hussain Qazi, while chairing the meeting of BDOs, VLWs and other officials of the department directed them to strictly follow the rules and regulation while verifying the job cards and immediately cancel all those job cards issued in violation of rules and regulation. The today's meeting was called by the ACD after Early Times highlighted the multi-crore job card scandal in its11-3-2015 edition in a news item carried under the caption "3 years on, no action in 90 Cr Kishtwar Job card scandal".
The meeting which was held in the afternoon, in detail discussed other development activities of RDD which included review of progress made under different schemes like MGNREGA, IAY, BRGF, SDRF, 13th FC, SCA, to SCSP, Art 275 (1), under CD/Panchayats was also discussed threadbare. The ACD also directed the BDOs to keep a close track on job card verification. The alleged issue of appointment of JE on fake degrees and appointment of JEs (Mechanical) was also discussed and it was decided during the course of the meeting that the department would review the cases a fresh. The ET had also highlighted the alleged appointment of JEs in RDD on fake documents.
