Jammu, Mar 13: Skeletons have started tumbling out from the cupboard of Jammu University and the misdeeds of former Vice Chancellor (VC) Mohan Pal Singh Isher came to fore. He had created three posts to adjust his blue eyed trusted lieutenants in varsity premises.
According to sources, the then VC, JU Prof MPS Isher to facilitate family members of some employees close to him, created three posts in the campus. "Three posts of Assistant Manager, Assistant Physiotherapist and Campuses Development Officer were created by state government following recommendations made by the then VC ", sources said.
They further said that to accommodate blue eyed the JU authorities invited applications for seven sections of varsity's main campus included three newly created posts under order number Adm/C&R14/1 1 1 1-1160, dated 6/6/2014.
"A total 22 posts were advertised for seven wings/ sections of the University including Deputy Director (DIQA), Campuses Development Officer, Assistant Manager (University Guest House), Physiotherapist, Laboratory Assistant (Geography), Field Zoologist and Computer Assistant", sources said.
Sources further said that two of three newly created posts were filled at that time. "Wife of PRO to VC secretariat was appointed as Assistant Physiotherapist and while another blue eyed Irfan had secured the charge of Campuses Development Officer", sources informed adding that but interview for post of Assistant Manager (University Guest House) was not conducted due to disapproval raised by faculty members over creation unnecessary departments.
"Due to absence of Financial Advisor, interview for post of Assistant Manager (University Guest House) was not conducted. The issue (creation of three post) by the then VC remained talk of town for long time, involvement of OSD to VC in the matter the present incumbent has elevated his close one as Assistant Manager. |
