Jammu, Mar 13: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) urged upon the state finance minister to make provision for allotting separate head in the 2015-16 budget for regular payment of wages of sixty two thousand daily wagers working in the various departments of the state government.
According to press release,in a memorandum submitted to him, Shastri pointed out that these daily wagers have not been disturbed their wages for the last 4/5 years causing lot of hardships to them.
He said that it is strange that neither these daily wagers were not been regularized by the previous regime nor they have been paid their legitimate wages for years together.
He appealed that in the meantime by creating separate head particularly PWD, PHE, PDD, Irrigation and flood control department and other departments of the state government. |
