HIRANAGAR, Mar 13 : Water Works Employees Association (WWEA) PHE today staged huge protest demonstration at Hiranagar and expressed their grievances where CP Workers and Daily rated workers from different wings of PHE department were present and sloganeering against prejudice attitude of the state government. They submitted a memorandum comprising demands for regularization and regular remuneration.
While addressing protesters who came from different blocks, Sham Lal President of the association, said there are several demands which raised timely to previous government but nothing has been done till day. Sham Lal demanded release of back log wages of 23 months of Daily rated, conducting of DPC of lower staff at Divisional level, releasing of pending DA installments since January 2014, regularization of daily wagers who have completed 7 years of service as daily rated workers, regularization of ITI daily wagers.
Gopal Krishan Sharma, Gen. Secy. of the association said there is shortage of manpower resulting overburden on the existing staff. He demanded that the department should allot the designation according to nature of job.
Later on DP Singh, Vice President, Kasturi Lal, Raj Kumar, Swarn dev Singh, Dharam Pal, Hans Raj, Dev Raj also addressed the workers on the occasion and submitted a memorandum to MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Kumar. |
