Poonch, Mar 13 : Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has distributed 850 Biomass cook stoves here today. According to press release, total 1500 people will be benefitted under the scheme. The function was organized at JAKEDA office at Mohalla Jarneli Poonch. Speaking on the occasion Deepak Sharma, District Officer JAKEDA said, "The Biomass cook stove is a cheap and best tool to save the environment and fuel, as it cooks food with the consumption of meager coal or wood". Keeping the huge demand of Biomass cook stove he requested the higher authorities to sanction more biomass cook stoves for Poonch district. The JAKEDA team comprises of Deepak Sharma, District officer JAKEDA, Gurdeep Singh (Technical Asst. JAKEDA) and Vinod Kumar (Technician JAKEDA) inspected three solar power plants of 7.5 KW each installed at CIC Surankoot, CIC Mendhar and CIC Bufliaz. The District officer JKEDA instructed Nisar Ahmad Bhatt engineer, Rashmi Industries Banglore to visit the sites quarterly for regular maintenance and open a service center at Poonch. |
