Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 7 : The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today witnessed massive uproar over government spending of huge money on providing security cover to separatist and anti-national elements who are waging war against the country. As soon as the proceedings started, the BJP MLAs raised anti-Pakistan slogans and demanded declaring Pakistan a "Rogue state". The agitating BJP MLA demanded a resolution condemning Pakistan for various terror related incident across the state including yesterday attack in Shopian in which three policemen were killed. The BJP MLAs also displayed the banner "Big no to AFSPA" and were raising slogans against the withdrawal of AFSPA from the state. While talking to "Early Times" a senior BJP leader said that even though the removal of AFSPA is in Common Minimum Program of the government, but there will be no removal of AFSPA till army and other security forces will give nod for its lifting. He said that BJP would strengthen the anti-terror laws to deal with ongoing proxy war waged by the neighboring country Pakistan. "Do you think Chief Minister Mufti Syed will allow anything to happen that will kill our security forces like we have witnessed yesterday in Kashmir where three of our braved police personals lost their lives in terror act," he added. Reacting to "Early Times" news item on spending of huge tax money on protection of separatists, anti national elements, the BJP MLA said that party would act tough against every anti national element and assured that the public money would not be allowed to be spent on the protection of those people who are anti-national and pro-Pakistan. He said that BJP would defeat the nefarious designs of anti-national elements and would deal with them with iron hand. Meanwhile the government today refused to provide details of separatists enjoying security cover and instead deleted the question which figured as question No. 36 in which the MLA asked the government to disclose the names of the separatist who are enjoying security cover.
