Coerced conversions - A violation
Sunaina Malik 6/13/2015 9:47:25 PM
Religion has been a conviction, which administer the
heart and mind of million of human souls, breathing on the back of this planet since ages There are many religions practiced through out the world. But Christianity, Islam, Hinduism , Jainism are some extensively broaden faiths of world at large. Religion inhabit a very imperative place in one's life. It will not be wrong to call religion, a path towards, precision, affluence, glee and triumph in one's life. Religion provide one direction to randomly moving human beings, because a randomly moving electron in an iron bar, will show zero resultant un less and until connected by some outer potent ional. Religious places, religious books and religious thoughts are imperishable sources of tranquility, serenity, compassion, graciousness and amity in this world. It is also a mark of identification in this million miles stretched universe and has been a matter of honor, ego and emotions since ages and will continue as such. Unlike other countries of world, India is the only place, where people believing in diverse creed are existing. Article 25 of Indian constitution has provided full liberty to every Indian to practice his or her religion. Every Indian is gratis to go to Mosque, Temple or churches etc, and also quite liberal to convert to other religion according to his or her free will. Religious conversions have been a matter of heated discussions from ages together. If we peep deep into the history. Pages of history are full with instances of coerced conversions by than rulers. The foremost instance was the oppressed conversion of Hindu natives of Goa into christens by Zedu Portuges during 16th to 17th centuries. During the reign of Tipu Sultan nearly 400000 Hindu were forcibly converted to Islam. Aurenzeb a mughal emperor was also desirous to forcibly convert whole India into a Islamic state. History also gives us instances of forcible conversions of Samaritans in to Islam at the hands of a rebel Ibn Firasa. Moving to other side even some Hindu organisations have also tried forced conversions on marginal group of Christans in Orrisa. Christans were also threatened to convert or face dislodgment in Madhya Pradesh. The most blazing incident of conversions of Muslims to Hindu faith was held in Agra on 14 December 2014 by Vishu Hindu Prashid(VSP) and other Hindu out fit in lieu of Adhar card and ration cards. These are the instances which have despoiled the fundamental rights of natives of India. As we all know that every religion preaches love, brother hood, nonviolence, charity, lenience, compassion, civility and over all respect of other religions, and history also witnessed, when and where ever religious emotions of any community were hurt, communal riots broke out and engulfed the peace, calmness, prosperity and development of our country. Gujarat riots, Ayodhya roits 1992 and communal riots of 1947 are some very throbbing examples with us.
These riots have time and again pushed the development of our country back. On the very side our mother land has also enjoyed the privilege of respecting religious emotions of her people irrespective of caste, color, and creed. We Indians have been practicing a convention of celebrating Eid, Diwali, and Gurupurav jointly, with out caring about the faith, we belong. It is because of this deference for every creed, that India has established a excellent name before the world community at large. Because of this communal accord, India has brought distinction in every field of evolution. A country is brawny unless and until its people are united, the moment unity splits, grid of development will show automatic dwindle. The most living example of unity, is our independence struggle. The moment Mahatma Gandhi united whole India, struggle of hundred years benefited us in the form of sovereignty in 1947.
Last but not the least, it is the leader of nation who decide the fate of people following him. A leader is always liable even for those who do not voted him to power. God links the fate of million of people with the verdict of their leader. So leader's every step should be towards the safety, security and for the betterment of his country men. Leader's every act should spread adorence, nonviolence and brotherhood, because it is not asset which matters but it is only the life which matters.
