JAMMU, June 13: Giving a rise to the criminal conspiracies, some miscreants of Akhnoor Tehsil are involved in many back to back criminal attempts and violating the peace of the tehsil. From the last decade, some people of Akhnoor tehsil were noticed while being involved in criminal cases owing to their criminal ideology as robbery, manhandeling, murder etc.
Sources in the sharp contrast told Early Times that the locals residing in Akhnoor tehsil are very much living in terror owing to those criminal acts that are happening from the last decade. Sources added that none of the business man at Akhnoor whether at larger scale or on smaller scale, can live in a comfort zone from past long time. Sources again said that there occurred back to back incidents of robbery, dacoity and manhandling etc which created terror in the locals. Sources further added that a few weeks before an incident of robbery have taken place in a shop in the name of Bansi Lal and sons and after few days , some defiant robbers attempted robbery in two different shops in same day, but the authorities are mum over the issue which is provoking such criminal to repeat the same thing again. "Not only robbery, there are many criminal cases, minor or immense that happened at Akhnoor from last few years and the people involved are yet out of the compass of the authorities", said sources.
DSP Aknoor, Naresh Singh when contacted by Early Times said," Police is very much active in the town and is holding special nakas to control the criminal acts". He again added that police have trapped some miscreants involved in a recent case u/s 307 and also observing some people under investigation suspecting their involvement in robbery. "special investigations are also going on to grasp all the robbers as well as others, if any involved in same and to recover the cash as well as the belongings", he added.
SHO Akhnoor when contacted by Early Times said that the efficient police have already solved a similar case of robbery few days back and recovered an amount of rupees 1, 31,000 against a robbery happened in past and this time too, the investigations are at peak in order to ensnare all those involved in such criminal acts as soon as possible. Moreover, he added that the police have also entrapped the offenders involved in a case of attempt to murder and an FIR was also launched against them bearing number 88/2015 u/s 307.
