Reasi, June 13: The General Manager, Salal Power Station Jyotipuram, Reasi has asked the people of the area not to venture near Chenab river on June 14-15 in view of periodical 'slit flushing' from the Salal reservoir.
According to official spokesperson, "It is intimated that for silt flushing from reservoir at Salal Power Station the gates shall be opened on 14/06/2015 from 8.00 AM (Morning) to 15/06/2015 till 8.00 (Morning) as a result of this, there will be increase in flow of water and level of river Chenab may increase."
"Therefore, the general public of the area is informed through the medium of this notice that in order to avoid any mis-happening they should take proper care while moving near banks of river Chenab during this period, General Manager (GM) Salal Station stated. He also asked the people avoid any kind of activity near and in the river bed during these days. |
