Jammu, June 13 : Cross swords division today organized 13 days long summer camp for the children of Akhnoor Garrison.
According to press release, the camp was inaugurated by Family Welfare Organization president Naveeta K Singh. A number of exciting activities are being conducted for the children including Air Pistol Firing, Parasailing, Arts and Crafts, Photography, Dance and Music, classes on First Aid, Traffic Rules and public speaking.
The rising temperatures and levels of pollution and the unpredictable weather conditions press upon us the need to restore the fast depleting green cover on this planet.
In order to plant this lesson in the impressionable minds of the little ones, a Tree Plantation drive was organized as part of the Summer Camp on 03 June 2015 at the Northern Command Shooting Node at Akhnoor. Children of Akhnoor Garrison enthusiastically participated in large numbers and planted a total of 110 trees at various locations in the shooting Node. |
