`Wait one year and compare results with your regime' | PDP challenges NC | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 13: Ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP)Saturday threw a challenge to National Conference by stating that NC should wait one year and then compare Mufti's performance with their six year tenure. "I ask NC to wait one working season and then compare Mufti's performance with their own six year tenure. This is my open challenge to National Conference that Mufti’s performance will be better than six year tenure of Omar Abdullah," PDP's Chief Spokesperson Mehboob Beig said. He said that the PDP government is committed to give good governance to the people of Jammu and Kashmir but it is a time consuming process. "We welcome the opposition to point out our deficiencies but the fact is that we are at a stage where we are clearing the mess which NC-Congress have left behind including corruption, miss-governance and the liabilities of crores of rupees," he said. The PDP leader said the government has to deal also with large number of youth whom the previous government promised jobs "just for their political purpose." It is to mention here that National Conference (NC) workers, led by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saturdaytook out a massive protest rally against the alleged failure of the PDP government. |
