Mankotia castigates eligibility criteria for B.Ed admissions 6/13/2015 11:26:46 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 13: Launching a scathing attack on the series of obnoxious dozes of discrimination being administered clandestinely to the Jammu region, Balwant Singh Mankotia, President JKNPP lambasted the recent preview of bias extending to the eligibility criteria for the B.Ed admissions for the year 2015-16 vis-à-Vis Jammu Division in comparison to Kashmir Division. Mankotia disclosed to the media that the duration of the B.Ed course in the University of Kashmir and the Central University of Kashmir is one year for the session 2015-16 and the duration of the said course in the University of Jammu has been revised to two years vide University Council resolution No.4.72.2 dated 15.04.14 and notification No. F.Acd/1/15/3964-4163 dated 08.06.15 for the session 2015-16 thus putting the career of the teacher aspirants of Jammu Pradesh in jeopardy. Moreover, the eligibility criteria for the B.Ed course in the University of Kashmir is Graduation in any discipline with 45% marks in General category and 40% marks in reserved category as compare to Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in General category and 45% marks in reserved category as prescribed in the norms of University of Jammu. He said that the audacious scope of discrimination extending upon the said course has made a mockery of the students of Jammu Division by adding salts on their wounds which had already been inflicted by the current State Government following the announcement of the weird Recruitment Policy.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
