Following refusal from girl, youth assaults minor with knife in Darhal 6/13/2015 11:56:27 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Jun 13: In a bizarre incident a minor was assaulted by a youth in one sides affair inflicted injuries to her with a sharp edged weapon in a village in Darhal of Rajouri district. This is the third incident of such a crime i.e. stabbing of fairer sex during last eight months. In today's incident a minor (16) girl received cut injury on her right wrist after she was attacked by a youth of her village following her refusal to his one sided love towards the victim. The youth has been identified as Mohd Yaseen Malik (22) s/o Abdul Maroof Malik of Thanamang of Darhal in Rajouri district. Quoting the complainant the police sources said, "The injured girl (name with held) d/o Mohd Ishaq was alone when the accused barged into the house and tried to pressurize her for marrying him. "As per family members the youth (the assaulter) continued to persue the girl for some time, sources said further adding, "but when the girl repeatedly turned down his request the irritated youth picked up a knife and attacked on her." "The girl first resisted his move and when she got injury near her right hand wrist, sources said and added she while resisting his moves also raised alarm to call attention of neighhbors for her help," "Apprehending trouble the accused Yaseen Malik slipped from the spot leaving the girl with injured arm, sources said and added the neighbour immediately shifted her to the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Darhal where she underwent medical treatment for her injury, they added. Police sources said, "Following the complaint from victim police have registered a case FIR No 52/2015 u/s 147/109/323/354 and 452 RPC and have started investigations." At the time of filing this report police party headed by sub inspector Sharief , SHO , Darhal was in the area to arrest the absconding youth. It was the third incident of girl stabbing in Rajouri district during last eight months.
