BLSKS stages 54th musical play 'Ganga Tera Pani Amrit'

Jammu, June 13: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Unison Cultural Troupe, Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM today presented 'Ganga Tera Pani Amrit' play on the theme of Water Purification, Water Sanitation and Save Water for the 54th time at Open Air theatre, Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu.
According to spokesperson, the Musical play was written produced and directed by M L Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India .
The musical play was inaugurated by V K Magotra, Former Regional Director, of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India accompanied with Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department ,J&K Government, Romesh Chander, J KRaina, Producer, Director of Doordarshan Serials , Dr A C Bhagat, former Chief Officer department of Animal Husbandry, J&K who were Guests of Honor. The function started with a song "Ganga Tera Pani Amrit Pal-Pal Mela Hota Jaey" followed by musical programme composed by renowned singer Raju Bajgal and recited by the artists and students of BLSKS with an aim to aware the masses.
The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective on the Theme of Save Water and Sanitation.
Earlier welcome address of M L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS threw light on the life of Sant Bhagirath and origin of holy river Ganga. Pertinently Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Santhan has presented 54 Musical Plays including today function besides 110 awareness Cultural Shows to promote the culture of India and awareness programs on Prevention of Aids, Water Sanitation, National Integration ,Rural Development and save the girl Child during the year.
Raju Bajgal, Gunia, Sant Das, Usha Handoo, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, JK Raina, Rajat Verma, Komal Rajput, Rajni Gupta , Neelam Gandotra , Hem Raj, Kamli Devi ,Sunil Kumar, Shivani Disgotra, Deevam Jandiyal, Maitri Salaria, K K Joshi, M C Kotwal, Rakshit Sharma, Dhruv Pandit, Pranavi Khajuria, Rajanya Khajuria, Samarth Gupta, Sanam Gupta, Vansh Raina, Mohd Afroz and others presented various programmes.
