Early Times Report
Rajouri, June 13: Sangarsh, a civic movement for justice, equality, peace , prosperity and brotherhood and was being run jointly by student-scholars of Rajouri district , has pledged to expose the culprits, who so ever even on high chairs, who have spoiled the image of BGSBU for their vested interests and also appealed to the intelligentsia of the State to join hand with them.
"Tall claims made by Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed for transparent and corruption free society have fell flat as for as BGSBU was concerned as with every passing day new scam were emerging from the University and being a Pro Chancellor of the University he (Mufti Mohd Sayeed) has observed a complete silence which indicates that these culprits have political patronage" said Dr Suresh Kumar, General Secretary, Sangarsh.
Recently media has exposed several scams being committed by the officials of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) which include scholarship scam, back door appointments on monetary as well as land donation considerations, illegal promotions without calling fresh interviews despite the fact post have been advertised twice during last three years, harassment to the students.
"As all the scams would not have taken place without the knowledge of Registrar as well as other high officials including VC, both of them (Registrar & VC) should come out with their resignations on moral grounds instead of correcting this entire nuisance and crushing the voices raised against them" said Dr Suresh .
He added both these officials have let loose the reign of corruption right under their nose and the officials booked / involved in these scams frequently violated the rules/norms of BGSBU/UGC for their vested interests.
Dr Suresh further added that ‘Sangarsh’ has also adopted a resolution after which some of their activists would approach the Ministry of Human Resource Development, GoI if the State Government failed to take action against those within next few days who have spoiled the image of BGSBU and were involved in these scams.
Members of Sangarsh include Nitin Sharma, Kapila Choudhry, Ashwani Kumar, Meenu Verma, Nusrat Begam, Ashok KumarArif, Norboo & Sourabh Gupta.
