REASI, June 13: The General Manager, Salal Power Station Jyotipuram, Reasi has asked the people of the area not to venture near Chenab river on June 14 and 15 in view of periodical silt flushing from the reservoir. "It is intimated that for silt flushing from reservoir at Salal Power Station the gates shall be opened on 14-06-2015, 8.00 A.M. (Morning) to 15-06-2015, 8.00 (Morning) as a result of this, there will be increase in flow of water and level of river Chenab may increase. Therefore, the general public of the area is informed through the medium of this notice that in order to avoid any mishappening they should take proper care while moving near banks of river Chenab during this period" a notice issued by GM of the station has stated. The GM has also asked the people avoid any kind of activity near and in the river bed during these days. |
