Jammu, June 14 : Jammu and Kashmir Tawi Trekkers today celebrates Silver Jubilee in which they organized Himalayan Trekking Programme. According to press release, sixth group of trekkers comprising 45 students of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu left today for Chamunda under the leadership of Sonam Sidharth, Joint Secretary of the club. Three teachers of the school namely Arjun Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Shubamdeep Singh along with a senior member of Tawi Trekkers, Anil Kumar also accompanied the group. The group was flagged off by Principal of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Rameshwar Mengi. A large number of staff members of the school and parents of the participants gave them a warm send off in the school premises. Meanwhile, the first three groups comprising of students of Oriental Academy Senior Secondary School, Jammu, St. Xavier Convent Higher Secondary School, Barnai, Jammu and Shangrilla Public School, Sarwal have reached back after a memorable experience of trekking in the Macleodganj area of Himachal Pradesh. The next batch of trekkers of J K Public School, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu shall leave for the venture on June 17, 2015. |
