Cong too joins Hurriyat to protect land-mafia by mis-using religion | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 14: A day after self-styled "freedom fighter" and chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik staged "dramatic" dharna in supporter of land grabbers of Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress today came in support of those who have encroached thousands and thousands crore of Forest land across the State. General Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee Choudhary Shah Nawaz staged a dharna today at Srinagar to in support of "land-mafia" of Jammu and Kashmir which is posing grave to the ecology of the State. Choudhary Shahnawaz's dharna was aimed at giving a threat to Forest Minister against serving notices to those who have encroached forest land but he cunning attached religion with it like leaders of Hurriyat Conference and other fundamentalist groups of Kashmir Valley. Choudhary Shahnawaz during his tenure of president of the Pradesh Youth Congress had never tried to stage dharna in favour of lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits who have thrown-out from their native places by the fundamentalist groups of Kashmir Valley but he was so prompt to stage dharna against retrieve forest land from encroachers. Credible sources said that Choudhary Shahnawaz staged today dharna on the direction of the senior politician who is already in the firing line for speaking against Forest Minister for his drive against encroached forest land. The Forest Minister has already collected information about total forest land grabbed by the said politician so he (politician) is using his resources to protect his encroached land. Eye brows have risen over Congress leader openly coming in support of campaign launched by Hurriyat Conference and other radical groups of Kashmir Valley. On the one hand, Congress leadership is accusing coalition regime of support corrupt forces while on the other Congress leaders are themselves supporting land mafia by joining Hurriyat campaign. |
