Drowned engineer's body traced out in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, June 14 : Rajouri police with the help of SDRF personnel and Army divers today retrieved the body of an Engineer, belonging to a Rajouri village, after 24 hours of hectic efforts. The Engineer while taking bath in the river at Dalogra, near his house, went missing in the afternoon on Saturday and couldn't be traced till late night hours on Saturday. The search was again launched in the morning today jointly by Rajouri poluice, SDRF personnel and army divers. Dalbir Kant s/o Krishan Lal resident of Dhangri village in Rajouri tehsil was working as an engineer with a private company at New Delhi and had came to home on leave to join his family members. At about 12.30 pm the deceased along with his wife and brother-in-law came to nearby river to beat heat and enjoy bathing in the river. Dalbir was enjoying bathing while his wife and brother-in-law were enjoying eating on the river side when Dalbir went missing in the deep waters. Both first attempted to save him but as the water was deep they raised alarm and people rushed to the spot. Despite several attempts by the people, Dalbir couldn't be traced and police party along with members of SRDF also reached the spot and immediately launched search operation. The body of the deceased engineer could not be retrieved till late in the night and in the morning today Dr Haseeb Mughal, SSP, who also supervised the whole search operation, also called the army divers. Army divers after hectic efforts retrieved the body of the engineer in the morning hours today and after legal formalities police handed over the body to the family members for his last rites. |
