RAMBAN, June14: As many as 118 followers including women of Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM) from Batote, Bhaderwah, Khileni, Kishtwar and Chanderkot donated their blood today in blood donation camp.
The blood donation camp was organized by Sant Nirankari Mission at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhavan, Batote in collaboration with a team of Post Graduate Department of Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College, Jammu led by Dr. Naveen Akhter.
The MLA, Ramban, Neelam Langeh was the chief guest on the occasion. The devotees donated their blood on the sidelines of their routine weekly (Sunday) Satsang. The SNM has been the biggest religious organisation in donating blood .Every year such camps are held throughout the country during the whole year in memory of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji maharaj who had laid his life on April 24, 1980 for the saving humanity. |
