District Congress Committee Kishtwar dissolved | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 14: Aiming to strengthen the party before the Municipality elections in the state, Congress dissolved committees in the district and block levels of Kishtwar with immediate effect. The decision was taken by Jammu and Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee Chief Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Mir. In a statement, Mir said that DCC and BCC would be reconstituted after the completion of membership drive in the district. He said that a new committee would be formed through an electoral process within a month time. Till the reconstitution work is completed, the district in-charge of membership campaign will take care of the party's day to day work. Mir said that there is need to reconstitute the committees because the performance of many of its office-bearers was below expectation. Party leaders who have performed well will be recalled in the reconstituted committees. He stressed upon all the workers to take active part in the membership drive in order to strengthen the party at grass root level. He also expressed that only dedicated, honest and hard workers be elected in the Congress committees either at PCC, districts or block levels. |
