JAMMU, July 11: Superb four-wicket haul from Vikram today guided Simula Cricket Club to a comfortable 40 runs win against Shastri Cricket Club in the league round of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup 2015 at KC Public School ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Simula set a target of 166 runs, which, in reply, Shastri could not chase and the whole side bundled out for 125 runs in 17.5 overs to lose the game. Atul Sharma and Puneet remained top scorers with 43 and 38 runs in their respective accounts.
Vishal took two wickets from Shastri Club while Amit bagged two. Later, Shastri Club bowled out for 125 runs in 17.5 overs, courtesy four wickets taken by Vikram.
Amit made highest 31 runs while Arvind contributed 20. Besides Vikram, Kuldeep also bowled well to take away two wickets. For his superb bowling, Vikram was declared man of the match. Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder Singh and Bunty Kumar officiated today’s match. |
