NSUI stages protest against JU | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 11: Demanding to change the eligibility of admission in 3rd semester for UG courses, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) today held a strong protest demonstration against Jammu University. Scores of students from different colleges of Jammu including M A M College, G G M college, G D C PLoura, SPMR Commerce college, Women College Prade, Women College Gandhi Nagar etc under the banner of NSUI shows "Red Eye" to Vice Chancellor Jammu university by lighting his effigy at Press Club Jammu. Leading the protest State General Secretary NSUI Avijot Singh while raising the slogans claimed that students who failed to pass less that 75% subjects will not get entry to the 3rd semester. He added that making such criteria for U G students is anti student which can waste the precious year of the students. Singh demanded to immediate changes the criteria which are causing mental stress for students having backlogs. On the occasion Sunny Parihar District president NSUI Jammu also spokes on the occasion on behalf of the students and added that students are always been tortured by such policies of Jammu university which are framed without consulting with students. He warned to fulfil the demands of students with priority otherwise students will continue its agitation. |
