Delegation of Sanskrit Scholars meets Member Parliament | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 11: A delegation of Sanskrit scholars today met Member Rajay Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas and put forwards various issues and problem associated with Sanskrit language in Jammu and Kashmir jurisdiction, and urged for due share of Sanskrit Scholars in employment opportunity. According to press release, they stressed that the Jammu and Kashmir was given birth to many Sanskrit scholars like Kalhana, Bilhana who laid their whole life for the Sanskrit language but despite of this, it has been faced official apathy of state government. Despite renowned scholars of state and large no of Sanskrit students, from few years' Sanskrit language loosing's its roots in state due to official apathy of state government. Professionally now Sanskrit language is becoming dead language. The department of human resource development works for the development of many ancient languages, so on behalf of all the Sanskrit scholars the delegation would like to appeal the ministry of HRD to work for the development and preservation of heritage value of Sanskrit language and to open the 16TH Sanskrit university in Kashmir. Moreover the delegation also appeals to setup a separate ministry for Sanskrit language and to make Sanskrit language compulsory from 6TH standards in JKBOSE syllabus, So that more students learn about Sanskrit language from their childhood and adopt it as a regular course in their studies. On this occasion MP assured the delegation that he will put their demands and requestion before state and center government and will take this issue before our honourable HRD minister, SmritiIrani.
