Early Times Report REASI, July 11: New Health Centers including various Primary Health Centers and Sub Centers are coming up in the hilly district of Reasi by 2015. This was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sushma Chauhan, who is also chairman of District Health Society. According to press release, while reviewing the physical and financial achievements and functioning of Health Care Institutions in the District especially under centrally sponsored Scheme, National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). Chief medical Officer Dr. Parminder Singh, District Social Welfare Officer-Pritam Thappa, Deputy CMO-Dr K C Dogra, Executive Engineer PHE, PDD, all block medical officers and various other health officials attended the meeting. CMO briefed the meeting about the progress of various schemes under National Health Mission and planning sector for the first quarter of current financial year ending June-2015. He informed that about 1017 institutional deliveries were conducted; about 223 institutional deliveries were escorted by ASHAs. He further added that under NRHM which mainly include Janani Suraksha Yojna, Maternal Health, Child Health, Family Planning, Immunization, Village Health and Sanitation etc., 26.29lacs expenditure. DC on the occasion advised the Medical officers that strengthening Mother and Child Tracking system in the district shall be the best and the fastest tool to improve the Institutional delivery, adding that patients should be referred to outside district only if the facilities required for such treatment are not available. |
