Early Times Report

Jammu, July 14: Promptly, in a swift action Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Haseeb Mughal today released an order for a quick action against the unscrupulous elements who had ploughed down the 1 kilometer road from Barnada to Nahoti, leaving all the vehicular movement in the area coming to a standstill. Early Times had carried a report yesterday raising questions over the working of Sunderbani police,. The locals had even warned the police department to lodge FIR lest they may block the Jammu-Poonch Highway and go on Hunger strike. Today, SSP Rajouri Haseeb Mughal acted promptly and directed the SHO Sunderbani to take the stock of cognizance and report back to him about the situation. " I directed my subordinate to reach the spot and report back in two hours about the factual position of the road," said Haseeb Mughal when contacted in the morning . Immediately, the SHO Sunderbani Parmod Singh took on the case and reached the spot. He immediately rounded up the miscreants and lined them up at the spot where the damage had been done. The miscreants pleading the pardon acknowledged their fault and assured that they would pay the compensation to the losses incurred by the ploughing of the field. Sarpanch Tirath Ram Sharma and other locals of the village expressed their gratitude to the police department for saving the road from encroachment. " I am always available for all genuine problems which are faced by the people here and ask them to report to me without any fear about any incident in any area ," said the SSP Haseeb Mughal.
