The SI whose work is to manage rly tickets for Sr police officers 7/15/2015 12:37:40 AM Early Times Report Jammu, July 14: A Sub-Inspector (SI), who is posted in GRP at the railway station here, has been given the exclusive job of managing confirmed railway tickets for senior police officers. He is understood to have developed good relations with the Jammu railway authorities. This is the reason that his recent transfer from GRP (government railway police) to Jammu zone, was got cancelled by a senior GRP officer. Soon after the SI was transferred to Jammu zone, a senior officer of railway police wrote a letter bearing No RPSQ/GB/05/3445 to police headquarters (PHQ) to cancel his transfer order and retain him at the railway station, according to police sources. His transfer order was cancelled and the SI was again posted at the railway station. "The SI's presence at the railway station is felt necessary because he manages confirmed railway tickets for many police officers even at a short notice of time. His transfer could have created problems for them," sources said.
