PM unlikely to announce package on Jammu visit | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 14: The Prime minister is unlikely to announce a financial package for J&K state on his visit to Jammu. The PM will make an announcement either in the Delhi or it could be announced in the Kashmir, where there is rethinking on his visit. The Prime minister Modi is likely to stick to the role of the Girdhari Lal Dogra, the late father-in-law of the finance minister Arun Jaitley, and the composite culture of the State. Source said the PM will not make any statement that is likely to take focus away from the event another thing but will try to give the message underlying the integration of the state with the Indian which will have an undertone of a snub to the separatists forces. "The PM will make his point in a subtle manner but clearly that his government will not entertain even an iota of separatism and would also be a reminder to Mufti Sayeed to remain in his shoes, said a senior BJP leader. According to the sources, the PM team is analyzing the situation and could be visiting the Valley to get a feed back on it. There is sense that as Eid celebrations go on for some days even after the official Eid is over, it could be utilized for the visit of the PM. "The PM visiting the valley and spending time for Eid celebrations and then announcing the package could be a major turn of events in the history of the Kashmir. It could help in re-writing the political history of the BJP in the State and more over it will have an far reaching ramifications for the party in the country. There is a strong possibility of it happening around," said a senior BJP official. |
