Two thieves held, 14 burglaries likely to be cracked

Jammu, July 14:: District Special Branch (DSB) claimed to have arrested two thieves during late last night who allegedly had committed some burglaries in Sainik Colony and Bishnah area, sources said. "Acting on the information a team of DSB arrested two thieves from different area, sources said further adding, "the duo during preliminary questioning has confessed its involvement in committing burglaries in Bishnah and Sainik colony areas." Sources said that with arrest of accused atleast fourteen (14) burglaries reported in the aforesaid areas are likely to be cracked following the disclosures of the arrested thieves. Meanwhile police have not disclosed identities of arrested accused so that their associates who are still at large may not get alerted. They however revealed that one of the arrested thieves is a trans-border narcotics smuggler and allegedly crossed over to Pakistan from R S Pura border and has also been booked under NDPS Act at Police Station RS Pura.
