| Before Eid, State clears Rs 150 crore Bills to contractors | | | | SRINAGAR, July 14 : In view of the forthcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, Dr Haseeb A Drabu, Minister for Finance reviewed all the pending claims and liabilities in the treasuries across the State and on his directions more than Rs 150 crores were disbursed today to the contractors clearing all the pending bills till date in the treasuries. Similarly, all pending claims on account of salaries, wages, honorarium, stipend and scholarships which have been received in the treasuries till date have been cleared.While taking note of the release of Rs 60 crores last week to clear the GP Fund liabilities, Dr Drabu also ordered release of another Rs 100 crore in next two days to clear the GPF liabilities of the government employees.In addition, NRHM wages to the tune of Rs 10 crore, other departmental liabilities including Rs 2 crore (approx) on account of advertising and publicity were also cleared today. |
