Doctors, paramedical staff stage protest, demand salaries 7/15/2015 12:11:23 AM Ramban, July 14: Despite several reminders to higher authorities of health department, doctors, paramedical staff engaged under National Health Mission today staged protest demanding pending incentives and salaries. According to press release, they said that recently doctors of district Ramban has mailed their grievances to Mission director NHM state. Responding to their grievances mission director has sought clarification from CMO Ramban, has replied that the incentives to doctors has not been paid due to non availability of funds for incentives in 2013. The district health society is diverting funds meant for honorarium / incentives to other heads of NHM. Previously it was a routine with NHM employees that their salaries were released on occasions of Eid or Diwali, but this time there are no salaries to NHM employees even on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr also. It is pertinent to mention here that these employees are working on contractual basis in rural areas of state from last nine years forming the back bone of health care delivery system of state, still the government of Jammu and Kashmir has not framed any policy for their regularization yet.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
