JAMMU, Aug 8 : Alexander Memorial School, Idd Gah, Residency Road , Jammu today, Celebrated Birds and Animals awareness week at School Premises with great fervour and enthusiasm. The Students were sensitized about the danger to birds caused due to Kite Flying Competetions. The importances of care and Kindness to birds were brought home to young minds through pictures, charts, drawings and informative speeches by the senior students. Light was also thrown on illegal trade of birds and animals in India and abroad by mercenary traders.
In fact birds and animals are not for us but with us, said the principal, Ester William who delivered the inaugural speech about the theme and encouraged the Alexian Family to spread the message all around. Rajni Koul, Social study teacher prepared the senior students and encouraged them to shun use of Manja. |
