Screening test of ReTs a superficial exercise: MLA Mohad Akram 8/8/2015 10:57:13 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Aug 8: Terming the proposal for screening out of ReTs as a diversionary tactics, Member Legislative Assembly Surankote, Choudhary Mohammad Akram has said it is a superficial exercise aimed at making the ReTs scapegoat of the wider mess in the education department and the failure of present dispensation to deliver on developmental front. Akram while acknowledging the present crisis in the education department has asked for an evaluation regime in the department for regular monitoring of the output of department especially the teachers. While accepting that not all ReT teachers are up to the mark, Akram expressed his view that all the teachers should be periodically trained instead of making few scapegoat for systemic flaws. He said the harassment of the ReT teachers must stop forthwith and the government should direct all its resources and energy at establishing a comprehensive system of periodic evaluation of the performance of each teacher.
