Jammu, Aug 18: A man allegedly attempted suicide by jumping into the river Tawi from a bridge but survived in this winter capital of the state.
"A man reportedly identified as Abu Shiekh, 30, this evening jumped from a bridge into river Tawi to end his life," police sources here said.
They said the flying squad immediately rushed to the spot and rescued him."He was shifted to the hospital while his statement was yet to be recorded as he was unconscious and undergoing treatment," police added. |
