Attendants of patient booked for 'manhandling hospital staff' | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Aug 18: Rajouri police today have lodged a criminal case against the attendants of a patient for manhandling hospital staff and vandalizing the hospital property including medicine kits etc. Police sources said one 23 years old Mohd Ibrar s/o Mohd Din r/o Sankari was brought to District Hospital after he had consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. "As the hospital staff begins treatment in the dressing room, three persons who brought Mohd Ibrar to hospital started asking for doctor, sources said, adding, all the three attendants started damaging furniture and medical kits and also manhandled the staff including Chanan Singh, laboratory assistant and Mohd Iqbal Nursing Orderly (NO). "They also manhandled policeman/security guards who came for the rescue of hospital staff, they said. Taking the matter seriously Medical Superintendent called the police and a police party headed by inspector Yashpal Singh rushed to spot and controlled the situation. Hospital administration has moved an application against the accused demanding their arrest and after preliminary treatment referred Ibrar Ahmed to Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for specialized treatment. Meanwhile police taking cognizance in this regard have registered a case against the accused. |
