Bhaderwah yet to get ZEO, teachers' worst sufferers | | | Early Times Report Bhadewrah, Aug 18: The government school teachers of Bhaderwah Zone in Doda district are without salary from the last one month as the chair of nodal salary withdrawing authority i.e. Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) still is lying vacant for the last one month. According to the aggrieved persons, their salary hasn't been disbursed as the post of Zonal Education Officer in the area is lying vacant after the transfer of the concerned officer one month ago. They lamented, "The Directorate of School Education has failed to appoint the new Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Bhaderwah due to which we are suffering immensely "The teachers and the non-teaching staff of all the government primary and middle schools in the Bhaderwah educational zone are without salaries," said Shafqet Husain Zargar President Teachers Forum Bhaderwah. The teaching fraternity has appealed to the Director School Education Jammu and the Chief Education Officer Doda to post new Zonal Education Officer in the Bhaderwah zone as soon as possible When contacted, Chief Education Officer Doda, Ajit Kumar said the appointing authority of Zonal Education Officer lies with Government. He however assured that the salary of the teachers will be released within a few days as the drawing and disbursing powers have been given to some other officer. |
