Early Times Report Doda, Aug 18: A deputation of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum today called on Ghulam Nabi Azad, Rajya Sabha MP and submitted a memorandum of their demands. According to press release, the deputation informed him that the government has arbitrarily started the process of verification of degrees of Rehbar e taleem teachers obtained through distance mode/study centres including the degrees issued by Jammu University, Kashmir University, IGNOU, MANU and DOAC and regular degrees of other UGC recognised universities. They said that despite High Court order to scrutinize the degrees of all general line teachers, masters, lecturers and other employees of education department, the government whimsically ordered the scrutiny of the degrees pertaining to only ReT teachers and maintained that it has inflicted the dent on the pride and dignity of ReT community. It was also brought to the notice of G N Azad that the ReT teachers have been exempted from exam duties on the direction of CEO's of the concern department. |
