Machail Yatra 2015, Chari Mubarak reaches Kishtwar | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, Aug 18:- More than 15000 devotees participated in today's annual Charri Yatra of Mata Chandi which arrived today evening at Kishtwar under tight security cover from Chinote Bhaderwah. The yatra after stoppage at many point as heavy rush of pilgrims offered their obeisance along 90 km Bhaderwah-Kishtwar road reached Kishtwar around 8.00 PM with devotees raising the slogans and enchanting Bajans in praise of Holy Mata Chandi- an incarnation of Godess Durga. The yatra was welcomed by the people of Kishtwar right from Shalimar up to Govt (Girls) Higher Secondary School Kishtwar, where the Charri will be kept for the Darshan till Wednesday morning before it will leave for Gulabgard at around 10.00am. ADC Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik, SP Kishtwar Yougal Manhas personally supervised the arrangements for Yatries , ASP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, Dy. SP DAR Sanajay Parihar, Dy. SP Operation Irshad Ahanger, SDPO Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed, SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani and other officials of District Administration Kishtwar and police also remained present on the arrival of holy Chari Yatra. As many as 10000 people from different parts of the state, in addition large number of locals from adjoining areas also reached Kishtwar for onwards journey to Machail for seeking the blessings of Mata Chandi. Various school building, parks and temples were thrown open for the devotees for night stay; besides this some enthusiastic religious minded locals are also accommodating the visiting pilgrims in their own house as a good will gesture. Locals and different business and social organizations have organized free Langers enroute to yatra and as many as 5000 yatries had their dinner at these Langer alone. The civil administration has made adequate arrangement for the smooth flow of yatra while police have beefed up security grid in the area. Meanwhile the heavy rush of pilgrims has also been witnessed at Machail temple and as many as 50000 pilgrims had so far paid obeisance at the shrine of Mata Chandi at Machail since the yatra has been official declared open for the pilgrims. Meanwhile some pilgrims who return after paying obeisance at the holy shrine alleged ill management and said that some people are charging Rs. 500/bed for one night and even provide them the food items at higher rates than the printed rates. They urged the government to have its own infrastructure so that the pilgrims visiting the temple don't feel any problem of accommodation in future. They alleged that mismanagement of traffic police, civil police, administration, hotel owners, PHE and other department assigned with the job of making arrangements for pilgrims are clearly seen visible on ground as there is no such arrangements in reality which prove beneficial to the pilgrims. They demanded reviewing of arrangements for the yatra before it concludes in weak’s time. Pilgrims also rued poor BSNL services in Padder and in many Kishtwar areas and sought up gradation of the services. |
