Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 18: The Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) today urged the coalition government to enact 'Shrine Bill' in next legislative assembly session for the protection of Hindu shrines and temples in the valley. According to press release, Kashmiri community is struggling for enactment of the Shrine Bill for the protection, preservation and management of the Hindu shrines and temples in the valley for the last many years and demanded that the bill should be brought in the next session of the legislative assembly. Dr R L Bhat, the Chief Spokesperson of PNBMT said that since both BJP and PDP have assured the community that they are committed to enact the Shrine Bill, the parties should enact the bill without any further delay, as the shrines are under dire threat and need immediate management. He further said that only a transparent and accountable Shrine Board can ensure protection and preservation and management of the temples in Kashmir. "The hollow claims of Dharmarth trust have been exposed as it has not been able to make any progress at the Jawalaji Shrine, Khrew for the last ten months", he added.
