Jammu, Aug 18: An awareness camp was organized at St. Peter's High School, Jammu by the Income Tax department. Sangeeta Gupta, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, Jammu was welcomed by Father Britt, Principal of School.
Besides Pr. CIT, Rajeev Gubgotra, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax alongwith team of officers of the Department also attended. The main purpose of holding such camp was to make young students aware of their future responsibilities as good and truthful taxpayers. The seminar was attended by more than 200 students of 12th standard. After the function, the students were provided with an opportunity to clarify their doubts. The students were participative and asked several questions related to taxation and how it contributes for developing the nation. The principal, teachers and other faculty members were very appreciative of this initiative. |
