| Auto driver dies, family alleges medico negligence | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 18: Family members of an auto driver today held protest demonstration against the doctors in Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar following the death of their son due to alleged 'negligence'.
Family members said that Anil Gupta who was an auto driver had gone to RS Pura to drop a passenger and on his return, fell ill and was shifted to Govt Hospital Gandhinagar by some passersby.
Agitating relatives of deceased said that some passersby on seeing him (Anil Gupta) rushed him to nearby Govt Hospital Gandhinagar where he was admitted further treatment. "Family members on getting information also rushed to the hospital," the relatives said and alleged that the sick Anil was not provided timely and proper treatment and was left alone
Alleging Anil died due to negligence of doctors, aggrieved family members staged protest and said that Anil was not provided proper treatment. Airing hospital slip, they said treatment was not mentioned on the hospital slip of Anil showing negligence of the doctors resulting death of our family member.
Meanwhile, senior officials of the hospital and police rushed to spot and pacified the protesting family members.
Thereafter the body has been shifted to the mortuary for post mortem and other legal formalities. Meanwhile hospital sources said that a board of doctors would be constituted for conducting post mortem of the deceased. |
