Jammu, Sep 18 : A diabetes awareness cum free health check up and blood sugar testing camp was organized by Shakti Kendra on 15th Sep 2015 (Tuesday) from 11:00am to 1:00PM at Shivaji Park, Sector: 9, Opp RBI Staff Quarters, Trikuta Nagar Jammu.
Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister in Prime Minister's Office, who was the chief guest & Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, Legislative Assembly, J&K, who was the guest of honour inaugurated the camp by lightning the lamp which was followed by 'Vande Matram' being sung by the students of Blue Bird School. The chief patron of Shakti Kendra, Yashpal Puri, presented a bouquet to the chief guest & appraised that Shakti Kendra is a citizens group involved in community welfare by taking up initiatives under various social cause like community collaboration & association, community cleanliness & hygiene, community health & wellness, community education & literacy and last but not the list the Ethos & Value system, with major focus on young children, women and elderly people. |
