jammu, Sept 18: The State Vigilance Organization conducted raids on the premises of the PRO of the former Dy CM Tara Chand, Kewal Krishan Sharma and unearthed huge wealth including palatial bungalows, fleet of luxury vehicles, details of land holdings, bank accounts and cash.
Forest Guard Kewal who is mired in allegations of corruption including class IV recruitment scam with ex Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu Tersam Lal, had been hitting headlines by leveling serious allegations on the former Dy CM lately.
The raid was conducted couple of days after court ordered withdrawal of his Personal Security Officers (PSOs), which he carried illegally. The property he raised included One double storey house at Patta Paloura, Jammu, One residential house constructed at Border Migrant Colony at (Paluwan) Akhnoor,One residential house constructed at ancestral village (Dhangar), Kachrial, renovation and extension of ancestral house at village Kachrial and 17 marla land in Khasra No.1312 Patta Paloura, Jammu.
During Vigilance verification, it was revealed that the suspect owns different bank accounts in his name, his son and close relative wherein transaction more than Rs.4.00 crores has taken place during 2 years period (2013-2014). The transaction of huge amount was reportedly done in connection with the transfers of teachers as it is alleged that he took hefty amount to transfer the teachers and lecturers.
His fleet of luxury vehicles included Tata Safari, Mahindra, Scorpio and a 4X4 Thar Jeep and commercial vehicles i.e. bus Volvo, Matador and Tractor (mostly benami). He has visited foreign countries several times in violation of service conduct rules and norms and had incurred huge expenses. Subsequent to this verification A Case FIR No. 32/2015 P/S VOJ has been registered in Vigilance Organization, Jammu u/s 5(1) (e) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C Act has been registered against the accused.
During the raids and searches at his four houses situated at Patta Paloura, Kachrial, Khour, Kachrial, Khour Jammu and Migrant Colony (Gurah Jageer-Paluwan), Akhnoor Vigilance sleuths recovered, cash amounting Rs.10,82,730/, 2 luxury vehicles (Safari bearing No. JK02BJ 4582, and Scrorpio bearing No. JK2AB 0900 documents of different commercial / luxury vehicles, Pass Books, Cheque Books, Credit Cards, Passport, Revenue documents, documents related to foreign tours, Laptop, CPU, CCTV Control Unit and many other incriminating documents have also been seized and are under scrutiny.
Besides, the suspect has raised a luxurious house in addition to his parental house at Kachrial. One JCB Chassis No.HAR 3DXSSH01850354 and one Tractor chassis No. HZ10U5028353 have also been found parked in the premises of the house at Kachrial. Presence of vehicles corroborated the verified alleged facts.
Searches were on in his another house at Migrant Colony (Gurah Jageer) Paluwan Akhnoor till late hours.
