JAMMU, Sept 18: On the occasion of Engineers Day, the Students Club YCET conducted inter club competition titled "Think Tank on Engineering Marvels'' wherein students gave incredible power point presentations on some of the greatest engineering structures and marvels like Burj Khalifa, Palm Islands, C-Link etc.
Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI was the chief guest and Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI, presided over the function.
In the welcome address, Er Rajneesh Magotra, Coordinator of Civil Engineering Department, threw light on the life of Sir Mokshagundam Visyesvaraya and his multifaceted personality and rich contribution in the field of engineering.
Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, in his inspiring address, exhorted upon the budding technocrats to develop self realization and greater degree of seriousness and commitment for innovation and constant search for professional knowledge.
In the inter-club technical competition, comprising teams from STEEL Club, Deptt of Civil Engg, GEAR Club, Deptt of Mechanical Engg, T-N-L Club, Deptt of Electrical Engg, & SWAT Club, Deptt of Computer Engg & IT. Zeeshan Altaf Beg and Tarun Sharma representing Steel Club won the first position whereas Gamandeep Singh, Mehrana Syed, Ankush, and Shubham were the Runners Up. |
