GRP Jammu reunites girl to her family | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23: Taking up their social responsibilities, the men of General Railway Police (GRP) Jammu today reunited a girl to her parents. GRP spokesman said that GRP men on duty at Platform No 1 found an alone girl of 20-25 yrs roaming at Railway Station Jammu aimlessly with disturbed expressions. They immediately reported the matter to higher ups who deputed lady police of GRP to manage the situation. "The lady police immediately brought the girl to GRP Police Station Jammu with a view to save her from falling in bad hands," said spokesman, further adding that on directions of Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu, polite and homely discussion was made with the said girl and her whereabouts were obtained." During the friendly interaction with lady police, it came to the fore that the girl (name withheld) hails from Rathana RS Pura was missing from her residence from 21/05/2015, to which her parents lodged a missing report at Police Station Arnia on the same date. Station House Office (SHO) GRP Jammu Inspector Neeraj Choudhary communicated with Police Station Arnia, where from team of police personnel including lady police arrived at Police station GRP Jammu and the said girl was handed over to the said police team after proper documentation under rules.
