Classroom instructions for pvt students: JU style | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23: The University of Jammu meant to cater to the academic interests of enrolled students on regular basis, is helping M Ed students of a private College of Education out of way by giving class room instructions by the permanent faculty of University. A copy of Time Table , which is in the possession of Early Times, divulges that Prof. Mubarak Singh, Head of the Department of Education, JU has issued a schedule for imparting instructions to the M.Ed. students of KCS College of Education, Semester Ist, Session 2015-17 from 7-9-2015 in which faculty of JU has been assigned the job to teach these outside students at the cost of regular students enrolled in the Department of Education seeking education in P.G. Education, M.Ed, M.Phil, Ph.D. The sources informed Early Times that there is no such practice in vogue to have class-room teachings to private students belonging to Institution not a wing akin to other Departments of the University which hints at the alleged nexus between the University people and private colleges. The University is spending gigantic amount on hefty salaries being paid to teaching faculty with the tacit aim to enhance standard and quality of education but the way in which the Department of Education is functioning amply speaks of its own style having established a separate fiefdom within the University with basic objective to provide full attention to regular students getting hit without any check. Such a sorry state of affairs, prevailing in JU gives an impression that the unhealthy practice is going on unabated under the direct control of administrative Headship of University Authority which manifests lack of grip on the Head of the Department. |
